mini update

I've been so obsessed with this baby that I haven't made time to read or write any blogs! I'm so behind. He is so sweet and soft and adorable. We all just love to put our face on his sweet skin. Life is getting back to normal, though. I started back walking with a friend on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I'm planning to resume my two massages a week on Monday. I like to be in a routine, so it's good to settle back in.

Poor baby Gray had to have his circumcision Tuesday, but he's been amazing about it. Besides crying immediately after, he's acted like he hasn't really noticed. We've shown the house several times since his birth, but no offers! It really isn't fun trying to prepare the house for a showing with all these little people around. Thank goodness my mother lives near. She has been very helpful!

Well, I hear him crying, so this will have to be it for now.

S'Wonderful

I love having a newborn baby! There is just no other thrill in the world like it. The love is so intense, you can touch it. And it isn't just me. The boys love the new baby so much right now. He is the first thing they ask for every morning and if they have been away. He is so sweet. He nurses like a pro and he's sleeping well. Well, he sleeps all the time still, so that helps make it easy. I think there is a reason they so gradually become more awake and alert. It's so weird how long it takes before you and the baby figure out you are no longer in the same body. I call it "phantom pregnancy." You just forget you aren't pregnant. And my oldest forgets too.
My favorite thing is sleeping at night with his little body curled into mine. I will never grow tired of this. Which probably scares my husband to death!

Gray is here!

He's crying for me right now, but I wanted to put up a quick picture and let you know he's here. He was born 3-2-08 at 8:28PM. He weighed 9 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 inches long. He's adorable, and his brothers LOVE him so far. I'll post later when/if I get more time.

In Labor!

Well, I think it will be today. I've been up all night contracting anywhere from 5 to 12 mins apart. I've never had very steady contractions, for some reason. It isn't serious enough to head off to the hospital yet, though. I hope to make it to just after 6AM (1.5 more hours) before I call my mom and wake up Guy and the kids. I'm trying to sleep between them, but they are worse if I'm lying down when they come. I hope it won't be another sluggish one like the last one. That one only started up at night and stopped during the day.

It's March!

I made it to March! We are so happy and relieved. Now, though, I want to have the baby NOW. Really, it is beautiful weather this weekend (today is 64 and tomorrow is supposed to be around 70), so we are just enjoying what could be our last weekend with just the two boys. But we are breathing just a little easier. My actual due date isn't until Tuesday anyway. Hmmm, I think the baby just got the hiccups.
